As we face this post-pandemic reality, our world is a very different place than it was just a few years ago. Over the past year, we have seen geopolitical conflict, ongoing supply chain issues, record inflation and widespread pricing pressures. And, after weathering the “perfect storm” of the pandemic, we are now teetering on the edge of a possible recession, with many of us wondering “will we ever catch a break?”

However, through it all Heritage Family Credit Union continues to be on the front lines, helping improve the everyday lives of our members, standing together with the communities we serve and keeping an eye on the future. We are committed to ensuring we meet your ever-evolving needs and desires, and assist you in achieving your financial goals.

In the year ahead, we will continue to grow the business and our service offerings, while ensuring the credit union is both operationally and financially sound. To that end, we are currently in the process of securing a new Bennington branch location, which will serve as our southern headquarters. Back in 2006, we inherited the current branch location as part of our merger with Bennington County Teacher’s Credit Union. While our current facility has served our needs up until now, the time has come to secure a new location, so we can expand our footprint and help more members in the southern hub of Vermont.

Although we will always have physical branches to serve you, we continue to develop our digital experience offerings so that members may reach us whenever, wherever they may be. We are currently in the development stage of an upgrade to our website. This new design will be the most responsive and mobile-friendly one we’ve ever built and should have features that make it easier for you to apply, learn and transact to meet your financial needs. Additionally, we continue to look for opportunities to replace ATMs with their more robust cousin, the Interactive Teller Machine. You can now find ITMs at six out of 10 branches. Our video branch agents are serving members’ needs from simple account transactions to opening new memberships to completing full loan documentation. In the year to come, look for opportunities to discuss your mortgage or business needs through the video branch channel. If you haven’t tried video branch yet, visit our website today and click on the video camera for a live agent!

As the evolution of Heritage Family Credit Union continues, we will never forget that our members are at the heart of everything we do, and we look forward to being your trusted financial partner throughout your lifetime. On behalf of the entire Board of Directors, executive team and our 170 employees, I want to thank you for your ongoing support and membership.
