Heritage Family Credit Union (HFCU) is pleased to announce that Chris Gomez has been named the 2026 recipient of the Heart of the Shires Award.
The annual award, presented by the Southwestern Vermont Chamber of Commerce, honors individuals whose leadership and service have made a meaningful impact in Bennington County and beyond. Gomez, who has served as HFCU's President and CEO since 2023, is a longtime advocate of the credit union philosophy of people helping people and remains fully focused on ensuring Heritage Family stays true to its roots while meeting the evolving needs of its members and local communities.
Gomez was recognized at this year's Heart of the Shires Celebration on November 5, hosted by the Southwestern Vermont Chamber of Commerce and Coggins Auto Group at the Bennington Elks Carriage Barn in Bennington, VT.
