With
the Heritage Family Federal
Credit Union ATM/Debit Card you can enjoy the convenience of using a
Visa credit card, but, like writing checks, the money is automatically
withdrawn from your Sharedraft Account. Some great advantages of using
our debit card over using a check are you do not have to show
identification, spend a lot of time filling out checks and it makes
record keeping easy by providing you with a receipt for your transaction
at the time of your purchases. Also, there is no interest to pay when
using the ATM/Debit Card. You do not need to have an overdraft line of
credit to have an ATM/Debit Card. The amount of the transaction is
automatically
deducted from your share draft account.

Telephone catalog holds are usually longer than stores. Cards:
A card manufacturer sends you the actual ATM/Debit Cards and computes
the PIN
numbers. You must activate the card by first using it at an ATM machine.
The
member's account number and PIN number are encoded on the magnetic strip
on the
back of each ATM/Debit Card. Care should be taken with the cards. If the
strip
is scratched or bent, the machine will not be able to read the card.
Certain
devices will demagnetize cards and erase all the information on the
strip. When you order an ATM/Debit Card that already has an ATM Card,
the ATM
coordinator will not issue any new ATM cards to that member. After
receiving a
new ATM/Debit Card, you can return your old ATM card. Your old card will
not
work. The life expectancy of a ATM/Debit Card is two (2) years. You
automatically receive a new ATM card, at no charge, every two years.
Posting of Transactions: In most cases, a purchase
transaction
made with your ATM/Debit Card will be posted in about two/three days.
However,
transactions made through ATMs will be posted immediately to your
account.

wherever VISA is accepted, just sign the receipt and the purchase amount
(up to
your card limit) will be deducted from your share draft account. At ATM
