Whether you are in the market to buy a new home or refinance your existing residence to take advantage of lower rates, Heritage Family Federal Credit Union has the right mortgage to fit your needs. Mortgages are available in a variety of terms including 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 years.

Unlike renting, home ownership may allow you to deduct the interest you pay from your taxes. As you pay down the principal, you begin to build equity in your home for future needs.

We offer mortgages on the following types of properties:

Mortgage rates are subject to change daily. The rate you receive depends on a number of factors including loan amount, term and type of property.

To help you understand some of the terminology regarding rates, below is a brief description of the types of rates that are available on mortgage products through Heritage Family.

Fixed Rate Mortgage- You pay the same rate over the entire life of the loan.

Balloon Mortgage - Fixed rate for a specified time period of 3, 5, 7, or 10 years, but amortized over a longer period. You must refinance at current market rates at end of the balloon term.

Adjustable Rate Mortgage (ARM) - You elect to have a lower beginning rate, then the rate adjusts at specified intervals over the course of the loan. There are usually limits to the percentage of change for any given period.

Mortgage loans are subject to a variety of fees including but not limited to appraisal, credit report, recording and legal fees. Members are given a Good Faith Estimate of closing costs within 3 days of submitting a mortgage application.
