M.A.R.S. (Member Audio Response System) is the Credit Union's automated telephone teller. M.A.R.S. can be accessed from any touch-tone telephone by calling toll-free 800.374.8469. It is a free, convenient service that gives you immediate access to your account, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. By using M.A.R.S. you are able to obtain account information, balances and perform transactions in the privacy of your home, at work, or even out of town. With an 800 number, M.A.R.S. can be accessed from anywhere in the U.S. Remember to take your access code with you on vacation.
If you you want to perform transactions via
M.A.R.S. (our 24 hour telephone teller), you will first need to establish a Personal Identification Number (PIN) to access M.A.R.S. and a password to access e-Branch. Your PIN and password act as your “keys” to your account. Once activated you can perform a variety of transactions including inquiries, transfers and loan payments anytime day or night by using your touch-tone phone or by logging on to our website at www.hfcuvt.com.
Setting Up M.A.R.S.
The system’s default is Voice Response. Press 1 to use the touch tone option.

Your member number is the same as your account number. Enter the number when prompted, then wait for the prompt to enter your Personal Identification Number (PIN). If you have not used M.A.R.S. before, you will need to establish and activate your PIN. The first time you enter your account number, you will be asked to enter your tax identification number as well as select and verify a PIN.

Applications: There is no application needed to obtain account information from the M.A.R.S. system. You are automatically enrolled for M.A.R.S. access upon opening your new credit union share account.
Account Numbers: All savings and loan accounts now have a 2 digit ID that you will need when accessing your account. (Primary Share = 01, Share Draft = 10) They may obtain this info from your account statement.
Posting of Transactions: A transaction made through M.A.R.S. will be posted immediately to a you account.
Limitations: M.A.R.S. has some limitations that you should know about:
- You can transfer funds between different account numbers. However, for security reasons, the sending member must authorize these transfers by completing an "Authorization for Transfers" form.
- You cannot, at this time, access any VISA or Mortgage account information through M.A.R.S.
- For withdrawals, checks will be sent to the last known address of record.
- For monetary transactions, the system will automatically insert a decimal before the last two numbers. (ex.: $374.89 is entered as 37489)
Liabilities: Only those as stated in the M.A.R.S. Electronic Funds Transfer Agreement.
Fees: Currently, there are no fees associated with M.A.R.S.
